THE POWER OF NOW
According to the climatic conditions of a geographical region, seasons come and seasons go.
Flowers blossom and eventually fade away.
The sun rises and sets each day.
They live in a perpetual state of newness and freshness of the present.
Each moment is a song of bliss and ever present.
These songs the universe sing are beautiful.
Hence, sentient beings must learn to live in the present. To always embrace what is right in front of them.
The past is gone, it's a fragment of the faculty of imagination.
Nothing can be done to undo the past except time be reversed.
The future hasn't happened, it's a mental projection of a life in a dream state.
Hence, the only life is NOW.
There were times challenges and problems hit the borders of my territory.
These circumstances rendered me incapacitated, it crippled my resolve to live.
And all I had to do was worry about what the future holds.
Guess what? I'll simply ask myself, 'what are you doing with your present moment?'
I tell myself to leave the future and enjoy the present.
Hence, I'll play a beautiful music on my phone and dance like there is no tomorrow.
Sometimes, I'll go for a walk and acknowledge by expressing gratitude within me for every Human being I passed or saw.
I'll honor the divinity and diversity in them.
And see them as me.
I am one with everyone and everything.
Let me ask us this, it was a question I read somewhere that struck me.
If you die today, will there be an unfulfilled desire, dream or ambition?
Will there be a regret of a life not lived?
Or something you've not acquired?
Will there be an imagined future that you haven't seen?
Will there be words you haven't spoken, apology you haven't made?
Confession you haven't done?
If there is, you aren't living in the present.
When the question hit me, it was the day I settled everything within me.
I don't want to live for tomorrow. Neither do I want to live to right the wrongs of the past.
If I die today, I'm fulfilled.
I have no regrets.
I have no past to undo or re-live.
In fact, if I have to live my past again, I'll make the same decisions/mistakes I made.
Because, the compendium of my choices led me here.
To this very moment.
And I'm pleased with my life.
In conclusion, challenges and oppositions will surely come our way.
Nay, it's what we'll face continually in this transient journey.
Life is too short to be lived in worry and anxiety.
Always enjoy the present moment.
Don't be like an old man on the sick bed that realized He hadn't lived for 85 years.
He had just been surviving.
Don't forget, put yourself first.
Your life is designed for pleasure first.
