JESUS: WHY WAS HE KILLED⁉️ (PART 3)

Image
Joh 11:47-48 T4T  47 So the chief priests and the Pharisees gathered all the members of the Jewish Council together. They started saying to each other, “ What are we going to do about Jesus? He is performing many miracles!  48 If we allow him to keep doing this, everyone will believe ◄in him/that he is the Messiah►, and they will make him their king. Then the Roman army will come and destroy our Temple and our whole nation of Israel!” --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The religious Leaders didn't believe in Him as a Messiah or Saviour.  However, they feared that the people might made Him King and that could lead to an insurrection or revolt.  They had heard Jesus speak about a kingdom He wanted to establish.  They didn't know it wasn't a physical kingdom.  So they concluded that its imperative they have Him killed. They didn't want Jesus to ruin the plans of the...

JESUS: WHY WAS HE KILLED⁉️ (PART 2)

Image
Jesus had a reason why He had to die.. Why He had to be crucified or nailed on the cross.  He was sent as a Saviour or Messiah of the Jews. He being a Saviour was outside the context of what the Jews were expecting at that time.  His purpose or mission as a Messiah was to rescue the Jews from the bondage of the Law and the impending danger they were about to face.  I mean, the destruction of the temple and Jerusalem.  That was the whole Matthew 24 discourse.  It's so saddening that preachers still think that that chapter is a continuum.  It has been fulfilled. It has nothing to do with us.  However, they didn't kill Him because He was the Messiah or He claimed to be their Saviour.  According to the religious Leaders, they crucified a heretic, a deviant.  Jesus didn't fit into the type or version of a Messiah or Saviour they were expecting.  In fact, if they had seen Him as a Messiah or Saviour, they wouldn't have had Him killed.  Th...

MUSIC: LYRICS OR ARTISTE ⁉️

Image
Recently, I uploaded a picture of myself with a caption of one the popular 'worldly' artiste lyrics. I had downloaded his new song "2:30" to listen and vibe to.  There is a reason why the word 'worldly' is  connoted.  Àṣàkẹ‌ is one of the leading artistes in Nigeria at the moment with His latest song toping the charts alongside  Davido's new released album.  After few minutes, a religious folk chatted me up. And asked, 'which Àṣàkẹ‌'? I asked her how many Àṣàkẹ‌s do we have in Nigeria that are singers? She said that she was surprised that I used the lyrics of a 'worldly' musician as caption .  She kept on hammering on the word 'worldly'.  It didn't bother me. So what really made me took it up was when the questioned that what has light got to do with darkness.  That as a PASTOR (She didn't know I had relieved myself of my Pastoral duties), it's wrong to listen to  worldly songs.  Now, I prepared my rebuttal. First, I as...

YIN YANG (PART 1)

Image
In Chinese philosophy, there is a concept known as the yin and yang (in other words, yin-yang). It's the energy that connects two opposite forces together and makes them one. It's the energy that engulfs the duality of existence into a singularity (non dual)  It merges two contrasting forces together to make them one. Existence is one (singularity).. However, Human beings view existence as being dual. According to their view, existence is based on two contrasting energies.  Even if there isn't any, they will create a polarity for it. For example, the Bible says, "In the beginning God created the Universe.." God is the energy that constructs things into existence. In order to balance this energy, Man had to create the energy of destruction - the Devil or Satan. So God creates while Satan destroys. God constructs, Satan deconstructs. How appealing this is, it's inaccurate about the omnipotent power of God. It's the same power that constructs that destroys. S...

JESUS: WHY WAS HE KILLED!? (PART 1)

Image
Majority of the Believers of the Christian Faith don't know the reason why Jesus died and why He was killed. They are two different things. There was a reason why He came to the world (Israel) to die and a reason why He was killed by the religious Leaders of His time. The first part of this article will expose the reason He (Jesus) was killed before going into why He had to die. If you want to get the best of this article, I'll advice you to read with an open mind. For a while, do away with the things you've been taught religiously about Jesus Christ from childhood. Read to learn, not to judge or criticize. If you ask an average Christian why Jesus was killed. His answer would be that He was meant to die.  If He was meant to die, He could have committed suicide. Jesus was killed for just one single reason. He was different. He was a maverick.  He didn't follow the status quo. According to Jews, they didn't kill Jesus because He was a Messiah or claimed to be one. Th...

DETACHMENT 101

Image
Recently, a brother of mine sent a video to me, Basket Mouth (a comedian in Nigeria) and His wife were being interviewed in that video, they just got married then.  They were asked that what would make both of them divorce each other.  They were so confident about their responses. Both declared boldly that nothing could cause their divorce.  They claimed that the deal was a forever one.  Eventually, twelve years after, they got divorced last year.  You see, there are so many uncertainties in life. We don't walk through this life as if we have control  over everything.  We must lose the mentality or illusion of having things under our control.  Life is a blissful experience that is to be lived based on the present.  You can only account for the NOW moment.  You have no control over the past, it's just a figment of experiences you have had.  The future isn't yours to decide how it'll go.  Hence, frustration ends when expectations...

THE POWER OF NOW

Image
Nature together with Human being exhibits what we call seasons.  According to the climatic conditions of a geographical region, seasons come and seasons go.  Flowers blossom and eventually fade away.  The sun rises and sets each day.  They live in a perpetual state of newness and freshness of the present.  Each moment is a song of bliss and ever present.  These songs the universe sing are beautiful.  Hence, sentient beings must learn to live in the present. To always embrace what is right in front of them.  The past is gone, it's a fragment of the faculty of imagination.  Nothing can be done to undo the past except time be reversed.  The future hasn't happened, it's a mental projection of a life in a dream state.  Hence, the only life is NOW.  There were times challenges and problems hit the borders of my territory.  These circumstances rendered me incapacitated, it crippled my resolve to live.  And all I ...

THE POWER OF IMAGINATION

Image
The word imagination is probably from the combination of what I call 'image in motion'. I coined the word because imagination is simply images created within. Man has two eyes to see, but the eyes are not really the organ of sight. They are just openings that allow what we call seeing.  Then, the brain interprets what it has seen. Vision doesn't end when the eyes are closed. We continue to see. These sights are coming from what is known as the third eyes. Now, a baby can see but does not know the meaning or cannot interpret the object of his sight. Are the eyes there. Yes. Is he blind? No. But why can't He interpret? It's because the brain or mind hasn't been filled with information of that object. The problem we have is that we think the power of imagination has to do with mind. We are wrong. The mind thinks, while the being imagines. What do I mean? Man has the faculty of the mind that functions consciously and unconsciously. It's always chattering. Except...
